Headrush has been hard at work during the summer of 2025 to launch major new improvements and features. Collectively, these enhance communications with the school or organizational community, deliver greater options for learning designers to use automation, and give administrators more flexibility in organizing and maintaining their community.

New Features:

Landing Pages

Use Landing Pages to share content, news, and updates with your organization's community outside the context of a module. Make different landing pages for students, staff, parents, and guardians. These can now be set as the default starting point in Headrush.

Task Actions

Tasks serve a variety of uses on the Task Board. The Task Details establish the context and outcomes for learners to take action. Task Actions can be added to the Task Details to further frame what learners should do, and in some cases automatically track when the learner has completed the task.

Available Actions:

  • Submit Evidence: Learner must attach evidence of a given type, or use a template.

  • Watch a Video: Learner must watch a specified video.

Coming in 2025-2026:

  • Add to Discussion: Learner must add to task discussion.

  • VIsit a Link: Learner must click a button and visit a link.

  • And more!

Automatic Task Completion

Complete the Task when Actions are complete: When the learner completes all the task Actions, mark the task as Complete. Bypass assessment and review. As an advisor, control what "complete" means: leave space for assessment as needed, or save bookkeeping time and convenience for both learners and educators.

Dynamic Groups

You can now define groups such that anyone who matches a given set of criteria will automatically become a member of the group. For example, create a group for 9th Grade, and Headrush will automatically add any students that match to the 9th Grade group.

Connected Enhancements

We've been working to improve options for Connected Modules with two new enhancements.

Create new module on the Task Board

Create a new module on the spot and connect it to any Task Board in one step:

Choose the type of module to add:

Connect from the Warehouse

When connecting to an existing module, you can now choose from modules in the Warehouse and from My Modules:

Other Enhancements

  1. The Warehouse now only shows the contents of the selected category when viewing it, no longer showing also the contents of each subcategory. More like how a folder works on your computer.

  2. You can now send reminders, batch change passwords, or easily get a sharing link to remind new students to use their Headrush account after they've been added to a group.

  3. The Learner Quick Access popup now includes information about what site, subsite, and data source the learner came from.
