Create 'Landing Pages' in Headrush with content you can update whenever you want, along with news and announcements. These pages are visible to specific groups, learners, advisors, or guardians. You can choose how to use landing pages for many common scenarios:

  1. Centralize and share newsworthy information, common links/files, and outside calendars

  2. Welcome guardians to your school with information relevant to parents and families

  3. Share internal news and announcements with staff

There is no limit to how many landing pages you can create.

Elements of a Landing Page

Landing Pages have three parts:

  1. Content Area: Like any other content in Headrush, create a page. Include video, embed media, and text.

  2. News and Activity feed: Post news items relevant to your community. These are shown with the most recent at the top.

  3. Page settings: Make the page public or draft, and control who can see it.

How to view Landing Pages

View landing pages by clicking the Home icon. With access to view less than five pages, they appear as tabs in the order they are listed when setup on the Admin Landing Page management page:

When more than five pages can be seen, they appear as a dropdown menu:

Create a new Landing Page

Only Admins can create new landing pages. However, each page can have multiple editors, who will be able to change the content on those pages.

Go to Admin > Global Settings > Landing Pages:

Click Add Page to create a new Landing Page:

Fill in the details about the page:

  1. Published sets whether or not the page is visible to anyone but editors and admins. By default, pages are not published.

  2. Name is what will appear when your community sees the page.

  3. Link allows you to customize the page's address on the internet.

  4. Visible to is what determines who can see the landing page. Choose roles or groups who will see the page.

  5. Thumbnail can be used to give the landing page a custom icon. Drag and drop or upload a square-shaped thumbnail image.

  6. Editable by determines who can make edits to the page content. Editors will see the page even when it is not Published. Click to select users who can edit the page.

  7. Edit page content when you are ready to start creating the page.

Edit a Landing Page

Only Admins and editors assigned to each page can edit Landing Pages.

  1. Edit the page content like any other content in Headrush. Embed images, calendars, videos and provide text.

  2. Post News Items under News and Announcements. Add new News Items at any time.

  3. Publish the page so your community can see it, but first Preview the page as they will see it.

Link to a Headrush module or category

It can be useful to guide learners and staff to specific Headrush modules or categories from within a Landing Page. For example, a school club module can be viewed from the landing page, or a staff development module from a staff page.

Embed Google Calendar, Canvas or other third-party media

Click the Embed button in the editor to place a Google Calendar, Canvas, or other third-party media such as movies, into the landing page:
