Assign Tasks to Learners

When a learner needs their own task.

Written by James Carlson

By default, all of a module's tasks are assigned to all learners of that module. Advisors can assign tasks to specific learners. Only assigned learners will see that task.

Headrush will automatically assign learners to a task when they are added to a module, but only if that task is assigned to "All Learners." Otherwise, Headrush will show a reminder that there are some tasks the learner cannot see, and leave it up to advisors to adjust assignments. If a task has Variants, the learner will be added to the original task.

To assign a task to a learner, open the task.

The Task shows which learners are assigned, or "All Learners":

Click to select learners to assign to the task, then click Done:

Headrush shows the learners assigned to a task when viewing the task:

And when viewing the Task Board, the Task will show the assigned learners on the cards:

Use the Task Board Learner Filter to see what learners see:

Advisors can also remove learners from a task.
