It's important to know what your learners are seeing in Headrush to make your job easier and maintain reasonable expectations. In general, Headrush advisors see what learners see. The look and feel are intentionally similar, but there are times when what advisors see and what learners see will differ.
What Learners see when they Log into Headrush
An Advisor can zoom in to see what a learner sees when that learner logs in by going to that learner via the 'My Students' or 'Students' page.
To see the learner's view, go to My Students and select a learner:
Select the point of view that matters most to you in that moment:
β
Modules is the learner's perspective of My Modules, including which modules they have pinned to the top because they feel those modules are most important.
Targets is the learners' progress against learning targets, which is the same thing they see when they click on Targets.
Activity is a limited view of activity focused on the learner, the same as you would see when filtering the advisor's activity view by learner.
Learning Targets is a browseable view of the learner's progress in your school's model.
Credits is an (optional) view of credit accumulation according to your school's model.
Other dashboards and custom reports may also appear here.
Each of these respective views is what the learner can see of themselves.
What Learners see when they view a Module
On modules, Learners and advisors can see the same information in the module overview and the same layout of cards on the Task Board.
If a column on the Task board is made invisible and the learner is not a co-creator on the module, the learner will not see that column or respective tasks:
How does a Student submit Evidence on a Task
Task Cards on the Task Board
Advisors have a few more options on Task cards when the advisor is either a creator, advisor on the module, or associated with a learner via an Advisory Group. β
To keep the Task Board relevant for everyone, Headrush displays different information on the surface of the cards depending on who is looking. The task status is what determines these differences. When tasks are Submitted, Advisors have evidence to review. When tasks are Needs Review or Complete, Learners have feedback to review. Thus, the cards look different. However, these differences are not important -- they serve only to focus attention on what needs to be done next.
