JAG Affiliate Transition Checklist

This checklist outlines the key steps and responsibilities for JAG Affiliates during the transition from the Genius Platform, powered by Wisetail, to the JAG Hub, powered by Headrush Learning.

Phase 1: Preparation and Communication

  1. [ ] Review the official JAG National technology transition timeline and FAQ.

  2. [ ] Complete JAG National-provided training:

    1. [ ] Complete Headrush Asynchronous Training Modules (Live by May 1, 2025)

    2. [ ] Attend live JAG Hub workshops during 2025 NTS

    3. [ ] Join Headrush breakout room during Monthly Town Halls for questions

  3. [ ] Communicate the transition to relevant staff (specialists, managers, etc.).

  4. [ ] Designate a point person to oversee your state’s resource transition.

  5. [ ] Assess current Genius Platform use:

    1. [ ] Identify critical state-specific modules and resources for transfer to JAG Hub.

    2. [ ] Determine your state’s data export needs.

    3. [ ] Identify a storage mechanism (e.g., Google Drive, Microsoft Teams, Loom, YouTube, Vimeo) to house documents, materials, and videos from Genius.

      *Note: Content must be housed before transfer to JAG Hub.

  6. [ ] Familiarize yourself with the JAG Hub (Headrush Learning) platform:

    1. [ ] Visit the JAG National Landing Page

    2. [ ] Visit the Warehouse and identify helpful modules/resources

    3. [ ] Practice copying a module from the Warehouse to your Dashboard

    4. [ ] Practice creating a module from Start New

  7. [ ] Proactively address potential access concerns with school districts:

    1. [ ] Establish protocols for allowing JAG platforms before the program’s school year begins.

    2. [ ] Review the Troubleshooting District-Level Headrush Access FAQ in the Help Center.

Phase 2: Data Migration and Content Transfer

  1. [ ] Follow JAG National’s data export guidelines from the Genius Platform.

  2. [ ] Work with JAG National to migrate essential data to JAG Hub.

  3. [ ] Transfer or recreate critical courses, modules, and resources in JAG Hub.

  4. [ ] Test migrated data and content in JAG Hub to ensure accuracy.

Phase 3: Implementation and Ongoing Support

  1. [ ] Train staff on JAG Hub:

    1. [ ] Headrush Asynchronous Training Modules (Live by May 1, 2025)

  2. [ ] Define and communicate JAG Hub usage expectations for staff.

  3. [ ] Support staff in using JAG Hub for program delivery and student management.

  4. [ ] Monitor student and staff JAG Hub usage.

  5. [ ] Provide feedback to JAG National on JAG Hub and transition process (Surveys sent from September onward).

  6. [ ] Continue proactive communication with school districts regarding JAG technologies access.

  7. [ ] Utilize JAG Hub resources and support for troubleshooting and assistance.

    1. [ ] Within the JAG Hub, use the built-in chat (purple and white word bubble, lower right-hand corner) for troubleshooting support.
