What’s the difference between a Creator, Learner, and a Facilitator on a Module?

A module member can have one of these roles:

The role determines what they can do in the module. Choose who is involved in a module's Overview, via the 'Who's Involved' prompt:

What can creators do?

Creators have total control of a Module's content. They can:

  • Edit the Module Overview

  • Add/Edit/Delete Tasks

  • Edit Task Details

  • Edit Task Due Dates

  • Add/Edit/Delete Columns

  • Add/Edit/Delete Discussion Posts

  • Change the module's Status

What can facilitators do?

Facilitators of a Module have the same permissions as Creators, but can also:

  • Assess Learner activity

  • Finalize Assessments

Every Module must have at least one Facilitator. Teachers often serve as Creator and Facilitator.

What can learners do?

Learners of modules complete tasks. They can only:

  • Add/Edit/Delete Evidence on Tasks

  • Add/Edit Discussion Posts on Tasks

  • Provide a Learner Reflection on Assessment

  • Reply to Facilitator assessment feedback
