Define terms, quarters, semesters, or blocks for your school in addition to academic years. This makes it easier for everyone when filtering Headrush views, like the Activity Feed, or when running reports by having the options to filter by specific ranges or relative ranges such as "This Term" or "Last Term".

Set up Global Settings: Academic Years

To set up the academic years and date ranges, go to Admin > Global Settings > School Calendar:

Choose how to divide the year

First, choose how to divide the year. This is primarily for naming purposes and this choice affects how the options will appear when filtering dates or running reports. You can choose between several common options OR you can type in your own if what you want is not listed:

Choose how many divisions per year

Then, enter the number of blocks, quarters, etc. into which to divide the year. This choice is used by Headrush to pre-calculate the years, dates, and ranges:

Add or Edit Years and Blocks

Scroll to click "Add Academic Year", give your year a label, and then choose the start and end dates of the year based on your school calendar:

Then, add blocks to the year. Headrush will automatically calculate the start and end dates of each block based on the choices you made in steps 1 and 2. You can adjust these dates if needed, and change the labels for the blocks:

Remove Years and Blocks

Click the X next to a given year or block to delete it:

Activity Feed

The years and time blocks set up in Admin > Global Settings determine what appears when filtering Headrush in the Activity Feed:

Reports

When running reports, the custom date ranges can be selected in a similar manner to filter the results:
